A Pep Talk From The Father

The last few weeks has been a challenge for me. Just like any Christian, I need reminding of who God is toward me. Life can drain us sometimes and it certainly drains me. But He knows every detail about my life and I sometimes forget that He's not a hard nosed lawyer. I am glad He recognised and  acknowledged where I am at; and with a gritty determination, He chased me down (as He is my loving Farther, perfect in all that He does) and I woke up this morning with this song running through my mind;
"Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me."

And the Holy Spirit saying this;

"The law points you to Jesus and only reveals your condition, BUT nothing can compete with the aggressiveness of My Grace. The law is not an end to itself and it's not the point to WHO I am; Freedom in My relationship with you is 'the point'.

Come to Me. It's our relationship I care about. My burden is light, learn from Me. You've forgotten that I am gentle, that I am kind, that I am long-suffering, that I am patient, I am self-controlled and grace-FULL. It's not your religious performance that gains you entry into relationship with Me. Just come and be with Me. I don't put anything heavy on You, but learn how Jesus walked with Me. In freedom; a freedom that death couldn't even take from Him.

Where I  AM is, there is liberty; but liberty comes with restraint. I am with you. I am with you to bring you into wide open spaces. The key is to abide in Me. Stay with Me, learn from Me. Be empowered by My spirit which delivers to you restraint (self-control, meekness) and walks you into the never ending well-spring of life; that will never end. You'll live knowing that I am with you and will never leave you. You'll live in peace knowing that I am not against you and I'll walk you into a never ending joy.

Do you remember? Do remember when you first encountered Me? It was based on nothing but My goodness toward you; that you experienced once you called on My name.

Do you remember? 'Jesus,' you said, 'come and change all of this.'

That was all that was needed then, that's all that's required now. Abide in Me and I'll live in you. Don't forget! When it's grace verse your sin, grace wins every time. And My grace is Jesus. I chose you remember, you didn't choose Me."

If you're feeling the weight of life, God is not far away, He's right there in your heart, on the tip of your tongue. He is gentle, He is kind, He is merciful and His love endures forever.

“All that passing laws against sin did was produce more lawbreakers. But sin didn’t, and doesn’t, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it’s sin versus grace, grace wins hands down. All sin can do is threaten us with death, and that’s the end of it. Grace, because God is putting everything together again through the Messiah, invites us into life—a life that goes on and on and on, world without end.”
