I was born like this.
A blog post for all those
in Jesus. I personally testify of the joy, forgiveness, mercy and love of God,
because of the cross;
Jesus was born to bare
our sin. He was tempted and didn't want to do what He was born to do. You might
say 'he was born like that'.
Who He was inside, in His
spirit, wrestled greatly with what His flesh wanted. He denied 'what He was
born like' in the flesh and fought the desires He felt to sin so greatly that
He said;
“Father, if it is
Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be
done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being
in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of
blood falling down to the ground. (Luke 22:42-44 NKJV)
He said this to all those
who were born the same;
"And whoever does
not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple." (Luke 14:27
NKJV)
If you truly swap your
life for His, who you are and what you were born like is dead at its core and
denying yourself to embrace Jesus is the life God our Father calls us to.
And we are not even
perfect at this and He still loves us.
This is good news!
"You will show me
the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are
pleasures forevermore." (Psalms 16:11 NKJV)
